The Lodge

Each of the 17 rooms and suites at the Lodge offer private patios overlooking manicured lawns and lush indigenous gardens that blend seamlessly into the rocky wilderness of the surrounding reserve. Guests enjoy access to four serene swimming pools, with well-marked walking trails to allow for independent exploring.

While the serenity of this pristine mountain wilderness is itself a balm for the soul, The Spa is the focus of the healing energy of Bushmans Kloof. The Spa is accessible to residents only and does not offer day-visitor facilities.

Seasonal produce from our vegetable gardens and fruit orchards provides our chefs with endless inspiration for our unique culinary experiences.

While the Cederberg landscape is dry and arid, it is home to a remarkable array of flora and fauna. More than 200 species of animals have been recorded on the 7500-hectare Bushmans Kloof reserve, alongside 755 species of indigenous fynbos plants, many of which are endemic to the region. Our experienced field guides lead daily nature excursions, on foot or in covered safari vehicles, to introduce guests to the natural wonders of the reserve.

In the springtime (August-September) the region is world-famous for its dazzling display of wildflowers, transforming the landscape into a riot of colour.
