Who is Thanduxolo Fobela?
Thanduxolo Fobela, known as Thandu, is the Maintenance & Grounds Supervisor here at Bushmans Kloof, second in charge to Alwyn Myburgh.
How long has Thandu worked at Bushmans Kloof?
Thandu has been with Bushmans Kloof for 18 years and has worked in many roles and departments during this time. He started as a Sculler in 2004 before moving to a new role as a General Worker in 2006. In 2008 he took on the position of Gardener, a Maintenance Attendant in 2017, and a Driver in 2019. Thandu has now been promoted to Maintenance & Grounds Supervisor.
What makes Thandu such a special and valued member of the Bushmans Kloof team?
His hard work, exceptional work ethic, and reliability make Thandu particularly valued. His love and passion for Bushmans Kloof translate into his work and interactions with our guests.
Thandu is a true reflection of the November message of the month: “There’s no I in team”. He consistently embodies the service standard through and through, and with every request he is given, ensures that he completes it to the highest of standards. Whatever the time of day, he is happy to help with any department and does so with a smile on his face. Indeed, for Thandu, “no request is too large, no detail too small”. He truly is one of a kind.
Are there any special or particularly memorable moments that you’d like to highlight?
